Grooby Teams With PureiPorn to Offer Downloads for iPhone

HONOLULU — Grooby Productions and PureiPorn have teamed to launch GroobyMobile.com, featuring one-click purchasing of Grooby video clips for synching with iPhone and iPod Touch.

Grooby now offers a pay-as-you-go platform with its new service, with five-minute clips priced at $1.99. GroobyMobile channels include Black Tgirls, Brazillian Transsexuals, Franks Tgirl World, Ladyboys, Shemale Japan, Shemale pornstar, Shemale Yum and Transex Domination.

P.J., PureiPorn’s marketing director, told XBIZ the company developed its QuickiClips platform to help adult companies deliver a branded experience for mobile visitors using a microbilling system.

"It’s very simple to use,” P.J. said. “And we’ve found that by charging a small payment unlike other iPhone programs that charge $29 a month, you clearly get more repeat customers.”

P.J. said that PureiPorn has one other content company using its service — PlaygirlMobile.com — with more to come. Swank and Teasing-Video.com are on deck, he said.

Grooby CEO Steven Gallon said that the deal with PureiPorn will help ramp up sales for the 13-year-old company, which focuses on transsexual porn.

"There's a definite lack of high-quality mobile transsexual sites out there, and Groobymobile is set to remedy that," Grooby CEO Steven Gallon said. "GroobyMobile.com features the best video content from our network, all available for private, pay-as-you-go mobile enjoyment."
