As of Jan. 1, Ninn Worx will distribute its own movies in the U.S., but Pure Play Media Canada will continue to handle the studios films in the Great White North. Private will distribute Ninn Worx in Europe, and Deep Star Broadcasting will handle cable video-on-demand broadcasts.
“Michael is currently in the enviable position of assessing his options as he moves ahead with complete control of his own company for the first time in his illustrious 15-year career in XXX entertainment," Ninn Worx spokesperson Lucky told XBiz. "Although he hasn’t reached any formal decisions, Michael has a variety of options he’s working through, and when he finally decides what’s on the horizon for Ninn Worx, he’ll obviously let everyone know.”
Pure Play President Richard Arnold said the separation is amicable and that the two companies will continue to enjoy good relations in the future.
“I think Michael Ninn is the best director in the adult industry, bar none,” Arnold said. “Michael has always voiced interest in being on his own and focusing on Ninn Worx, and I wish him the best of luck.”
Pure Play and Ninn Worx first joined forces in 2002 and have since won multiple awards for their work, often breaking new ground in terms of visual appeal. Recent collaborations include the highly acclaimed “Neo Pornographia” series, as well as the feature film “Catherine.”
