Video Secrets Begins World’s Top Cam Model Contest

CALABASAS, Calif. — Live video chat provider Video Secrets has started a contest to crown the world’s best amateur webcam models based on live voting from the fans. At stake is $12,000 in prizes.

The World’s Top Cam Model Contest’s preliminary round runs through Oct. 4, where fans can select the top 20 male and female webcam performers from thousands of participants.

Standings are dynamically updated every 15 minutes and Video Secrets has launched a blog to chronicle the contest’s developments.

The contest also represents an enhanced marketing tool for Video Secrets’ affiliates to promote the site.

“The World’s Top Cam Model contest will run for a total of 10 weeks and has already generated a tremendous amount of interest among our models, our repeat customers and new visitors,” said Brad Estes of Video Secrets. “The contest adds an important interactive element to the entire user experience as fans can keep their favorites in the running by enjoying live shows, watching recorded shows in the VOD archives or by sending virtual gifts. It’s also really great motivation for every performer to put on the best show possible every time.”

Like a TV reality show, each week of the contest, the bottom three performers of both sexes will be up for possible elimination — it’s up to the fans to keep them, or vote them off.

The competition finishes Dec. 12.
