Xobile Embraces Video iPod, Launches PornMyPortable

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – As many adult companies and content providers rush to embrace Apple’s recently launched Video iPod, Xobile.com is making plans to take the new porn-friendly platform by storm with the launch of the PornMyPortable system.

The mobile division of AEBN, Xobile’s new video display system is designed for iPod devices and enables users to choose their favorite movie scenes and then download two- to five-minute clips to their iPod, in much the same way they would download music picks.

According to Harvey Kaplan, director of mobile operations for Xobile/AEBN, PornMyPortable will launch with a promotional campaign that includes nine free adult movies for users to sample, and those who are over age 18 can sign up at the Xobile.com website for free and then “drag, click and watch,” Kaplan said.

“We think the growth of viewing adult content on iPod devices will be explosive in the coming months, and to serve this growing need, we have designed a system that makes it absolutely foolproof, extremely simple and totally private,” Kaplan said.

Beginning next month, Xobile will begin selling five-minute clips at 99 cents per mini movie, giving users the chance to select the scene he or she wants to watch from popular new releases.

Kaplan describes the process of activating PornMyPortable as including three easy steps, starting with finding the PornMyPortable button on the Xobile website, then launching iTunes and dragging downloaded video content into the library portion of iTunes, and then connecting an iPod to the PC and syncing it with iTunes to view preferred movie content. Users can also configure iTunes to copy new videos to their iPod automatically when they connect it to the PC.

On the rapid rise to dominate the adult mobile space since its launch in April, Xobile has built a mobile mini movie library of more than 50,000 two-minute adult clips.
