Vivica Rayy Launches Atlanta-Based Production Company

ATLANTA — Adult model, performer and webmaster Vivica Rayy is expanding her adult mini-empire with the launch of her new DVD company, Vivica Rayy Productions. The company recently wrapped production on “Captured,” its premier DVD title, and is currently seeking distribution.

Rayy broke into the adult industry in 2003 when she launched her paysite, VivicaRayy.com, and its related affiliate program and online retail store.

She has since appeared in numerous adult magazines, including a July spread in Black Tail and the November cover of Nugget with fellow performer/producer Taylor Wayne.

Rayy, a college senior, told XBiz that she saw forming her own production company as the only way to guarantee she would have the final say on important career decisions and protect her brand.

She has operated a profitable online adult company for more than two years while also attending business school, and said she will apply the same level of dedication to making movies.

“It’s very hard to get in a position in the industry where one has control over her name,” Rayy said. “From what I've noticed, people tend to screw you over when you're ‘just talent.’ So I started my own company and created a job for myself.

“This is a new chapter in my life, and I’m approaching it in a professional manner like I do with everything I’m involved in.”

“Captured,” her new company’s first DVD, was directed by Taj Taylor and features half a dozen fresh faces from the Atlanta area, including Devlyn Lace, Jessica Lake and Sanny Aung. And, in Rayy’s words, “It has a plot!”

“I want my movies to be just as great and exciting as movies that we all pay to go see in theaters,” she said. “Only, in addition to that, I’m showing the hot sex scenes that Hollywood seems to leave out. I have other titles coming up, and I want to let distributors know that my company is stable and we are definitely planning on staying in the industry for the long haul.”

The DVD also includes behind-the-scenes footage, bloopers, a photo gallery and an interview with Rayy.

The movie will premier on Dec. 4 at Atlanta’s Midtown Arts Center with an after-party at D’Jangos nightclub.
