MobiVixen.com to Offer Templating Engine

LOS ANGELES — Beginning in July, MobiVixen.com will offer a templating engine to its affiliates, which will provide mobile handset users with video content regardless of the carrier or phone type.

According to the company, plans to launch a mobile video platform, which includes state of the art customization tools for webmasters and affiliates, have been underway for quite a while — and not just in the adult space. Now, after years of industry experience and research, the development team at MobiVixen's parent company, TAV Inc., has finally completed its "TurnKey Mobile Video Broadcaster," which allows for the seamless plug 'n play of video from content provider to end user.

"Providing easy access and complete control to a variety of partners, the patent-pending templating engine allows a single entity to establish proprietary sites for a multitude of brands under its control," Senior Vice President of TAV and Mobivixen, Harvey Kaplan, said. "Additional features include a simple transactional interface that allows for establishing loyalty programs via paid credits as well as traditional credit card charges and Mobile phone payment like Premium SMS and WAP billing."

"The advantages are readily apparent from both the business and end user points of view," Kaplan added. "This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship between studios, affiliates and users."

Kaplan said that the platform was developed to allow affiliates to directly market Mobivixen.com through its trusted MPA3 software, while providing the freedom to build a templated mobile theater for clients that want a turnkey mobile video site.

"The mobile industry, like most emerging media, is viewed as struggling a bit given the advertising and financial growth forecasts that have been compromised by global economic uncertainty," Kaplan offered. "Most industry experts are predicting a strong upward growth curve as the ability to exploit individual preferences in variety and entertainment delivery differentiates it from more traditional 'broadcast' media."

Delivering relevant content to the appropriate viewership is a critical part of the formula and the MobiVixen templating engine will allow for very specific customization based on the content provider's needs and the ability to match it to the end users preferences.

"Does a company have multiple studios? No problem, all of the various silos can now be provided a proprietary site, with the powerful TAV platform behind it," Kaplan said. "Turning on and off any feature or unwanted videos is as simple as a keystroke and webmasters will now be able to manage and control several product lines both efficiently and simultaneously."

This flexibility also provides the potential for increased sales through diverse product offerings or the control of brand focused marketing.

"Many companies I have come across in the past have insisted on solely promoting their own products and did not want to introduce their customer base to the competition, which is why we made our platform intensely modular," Kaplan offered. "If you like what is there, do nothing, if you do not want certain content or products shown, simply turn them off."

Kaplan likens today's mobile scene to the early 90's Wild West online boom times, with adult leading the entertainment charge, and cites the server-crashing popularity of the short-lived adult iPhone app as an example of how the potential uses for this technology are diverse and cross-category.

"For example, a record label with dozens of artists can provide a separate site for each within minutes, and sell merchandise, ring tones, wallpapers and tickets to their fans," Kaplan said. "Promotion of the innovation will provide a halo effect to the content provider, as they become associated with cutting edge technology, exclusive content and of course, new revenue streams that are so desperately in demand given the state of the economy. "

"This project represents a culmination of ideas, statistical and analytical data that has been gathered over the past five years and I think this really hits the proverbial nail on the head," Kaplan concluded.
