Hustler Parties With New Devil

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — The devil is in Mr. Flynt these days, or at least on his brain, as the porn publishing megalith sets to launch two celebratory events that commemorate the release of “The New Devil in Miss Jones.”

Flynt Publications will host two star-studded parties later this month, the first at its Hustler Hollywood in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Oct. 26, and the second at its Hustler Hollywood in San Diego on Oct. 27.

Porn starlet Savanna Samson, aka Miss Jones, is scheduled to appear at both parties, along with the original 1973 Miss Jones, Georgina Spelvin. Angelica Sin and director Paul Thomas will also be on hand to sign autographs.

No doubt to the chagrin of many fans, Jenna Jameson, who plays the new devil in the classic remake, will not be in attendance.

Both parties are scheduled to run from 9-11 p.m. on their respective nights.

Produced by Vivid Entertainment, “The New Devil in Miss Jones” comes in a three-disc DVD set that includes the original film and behind-the-scenes footage, as well as commentary by Jameson, Samson, Thomas and Spelvin, who plays a chambermaid in the new version of the movie.

“I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to do a remake that would be an homage to one of the great adult classics,” Steven Hirsch, Vivid co-founder and co-CEO said of the new film. “It’s a universally appealing title with a suspenseful story line and powerful dialog to go along with the amazing sexiness that Jameson and Samson bring to the production.”

The movie has clearly caused a buzz throughout the industry. Currently No. 2 on the bestseller list at Adult DVD Empire, the film prompted popular men’s magazine Genesis to publish a standalone collectible supplement last month devoted entirely to the “The New Devil in Miss Jones” before the movie was even released.
