LiveAdultAuctions.com Opens Its Doors

LOS ANGELES — Today marks the official launch of the Live Adult Auctions company and website.

Live Adult Auctions will conduct four live auctions per year in conjunction with tradeshows and consumer events. The first official Live Adult Auction is scheduled for June 13 at Erotica LA at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Live Adult Auctions co-founder Stephen Bugbee told XBIZ the company was launched as a new business model to stimulate the adult industry by allowing talent, studios and other adult companies to create new revenue during these difficult economic times.

Live Adult Auctions will have more than 500 items from adult stars, studios and websites. Available items include autographed memorabilia such as signed photographs, DVDs, skateboards, snowboards, set wardrobes, bikinis, toys, props and actual sets from adult movies.

“During this time when everyone can use extra money and these studios have props, photos and other items just laying around, it makes sense to sell them as memorabilia,” Bugbee said. “The initial cost is really low and is a perfect way to make extra income.”

While geared towards consumers, Bugbee said anyone can compete in the auctions for prizes such as an exclusive opportunity to be a presenter alongside an adult celebrity at the FAME Awards on June 13.

Clients will be able to bid on items live at the actual auction, via phone or online using the Live Adult Auction software. There will be a showcase day on June 12 on the show floor at Erotica LA to allow consumers to take a look at the items prior to the Live Auction on Saturday. Items also will be showcased on the Live Adult Auction website.

Portions of the proceeds are to benefit ASACP and FSC.

“I support them regularly with my golf tournaments,” Bugbee said. “This is just another opportunity to do so.”

Studios, talent and adult companies interested in putting items up for the live event can contact (310) 242-5700 or email bugbee@x2k.com.

Live Adult Auctions will handle all aspects of pick up and inventory as well as photographing and managing the items prior to and all the way to delivery to the consumer. Individuals and companies providing product will be paid off of net revenue created by the sale of the product to fans, consumers and collectors.
