dotCOM host Acquires Red Apple Media

SAN DIEGO — Ecommerce hosting company dotCOM host has acquired media delivery company Red Apple Media, which offers video-on-demand, pay-per-view, streaming, live broadcast and encoding services.

“I’m enthusiastic about the opportunity of Red Apple Media being a fully intergraded division of dotCOM host," said Steven Daris, partner and co-founder of dotCOM host. "Four years ago SDCA Websites, a web development company, asked dotCOM host to help create an online media and web delivery company called Red Apple Media. I knew then, as I know now, that online media delivery is the future for online media sales. We can now leverage our staff, networks and partnerships for the benefit of clients of both companies.”

dotCOM host was established in 1997, offering servers and bandwidth routing.

Red Apple Media, established in 2005, offers hosting and Internet services for studios, membership sites and record companies.

To celebrate the merger of the two companies, dotCOM host is offering three months of free hosting on dedicated servers on a one-year contract. Full details regarding this special offer will be available later this week on dotCOMhost.com
