Topco Sales Launches Penthouse City Toys Contest

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Adult novelty company Topco Sales has announced the launch of its Penthouse City Toys Contest, which offers contestants a chance to have their work featured in Penthouse Letters.

"The Penthouse City Toys Contest is a great way for retailers to entice their customers to check out the fantastic Penthouse City Toys collection and for consumers to communicate their excitement about these sexy new toys," said Desiree Duffie, director of marketing and public relations at Topco Sales. "In addition, because we'll have the top 10 letters available online for people to read and vote on, a real community of fans will build around these toys."

To become a contestant, interested parties must submit an erotic, fictional letter like the letters in Penthouse Letters and incorporate into the letter one of the five new Penthouse City Toys, which include the Paris, the Los Angeles, the Rome, the New Orleans and the Shanghai. The grand-prize winner will receive $300 worth of Penthouse City Toys, as well as publication of the winning letter in the December issue of Penthouse Letters.

"The Penthouse City Toys are designed for adventurous free spirits," said Amanda Byrd, director of licensing for Penthouse magazine, "and we look forward to reading all about the globetrotting, exotic escapades people will have with them."

The competition is open for entries from March 1 through May 31. A panel of 10 judges from Topco Sales will select the top 10 entries, which will be posted online for public voting from June 15-17. The winners will be announced on June 24.
