Cherry Boxxx, Baby Doll to Relaunch With Harder Focus

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Citing growing demand among fans, distributors, retailers and webmasters for more hardcore products, KBeech Video, parent company of Cherry Boxxx Pictures and Baby Doll Pictures, is introducing four new lines.

The first two lines, Cherry Boxxx Explicit and Baby Doll Hardcore, are relaunched versions of existing lines, updated with more intense sex scenes to appeal to increasingly extreme consumer tastes.

Cherry Boxxx Explicit launches in September with the releases of “Jerk and Squirt,” “Excessive Penetration” and “100% Dirty Slut,” while Baby Doll Hardcore makes its debut the same month with “Goo Gaggers.”

The company is keeping the two other lines under wraps until the January Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, according to in-house director Rick Davis.

“We won’t even begin shooting for [those] lines until Oct. 1,” Davis told XBiz. “We’re looking at a January release. The big push will be the CES show.”

Davis said company owner Kevin Beecham and Cherry Boxxx President Allen Gold made the decision to bring a harder edge to the movies only after careful consideration. In particular, Davis said the shift in focus presents a challenge: deciding how far to go and where to draw the line.

“We’ve always had very strict guidelines about how we treat girls,” Davis told XBiz. “We make it a point not to do anything degrading, like choking or spitting. But the product got a little vanilla by today’s standards. We still want to make sure the girls are treated with respect, but we had no choice but to redo the lines and raise the bar.”

Davis points to competition from companies like Zero Tolerance and Red Light District — and strong consumer demand for their products — as partially responsible for prompting the change in direction. “I’d say 99.9 percent of our distributors both overseas and domestically say they want this,” he said.

Along with more intense sex, including more three-ways and double penetrations, the new Cherry Boxxx/Baby Doll lines also will be using more new talent, although the company will have veteran performers Brittney Skye, Cytherea and Daisy on hand at CES.

Titles in all the new lines will feature expanded behind-the-scenes footage. The company will release six titles each month.

Cherry Boxxx and Baby Doll were founded in 2003 by Beechum and Gold, a former VCA vice president of sales. Both lines are divisions of KBeech Video, which also includes titles from Erotic Angel, Dreamland Video and Midnight Mayhem.
