FSC Taps Cachapero as Membership Director

CANOGA PARK, Calif. — Joanne Cachapero has been named membership director for the Free Speech Coalition.

“Joanne is a perfect addition to our team,” said Diane Duke, FSC's executive director. “She knows the industry, is tremendously talented, and is committed to the values and principles of the Free Speech Coalition.”

Cachapero has written for both mainstream and adult publications including The Coast News, Vision magazine, Eros-Zine and Playgirl. She started writing about the adult industry after attending her first Adult Entertainment Expo in 2005. Cachapero has been a reporter for XBIZ and was news manager until she resigned to take the position with FSC.

“Joanne’s tremendous passion and commitment for the adult industry will empower the FSC to achieve even greater heights. We thank Joanne for her wonderful contributions to XBIZ and wish her great success at the FSC," XBIZ President Alec Helmy said.

Cachapero is looking forward to her new responsibilities.

"Working at XBIZ has been an honor and a privilege, and I owe Alec Helmy and the editorial staff at the magazine a huge debt of gratitude for the opportunity to work with them," Cachapero said. "Going forward, I'm thrilled to be part of the efforts that the FSC makes toward being a resource for the industry and hope that I can help Diane and the staff to take the organization to the next level.”

Cachapero will start her position at FSC on Monday. Her new email is joanne@freespeechcoalition.com.
