The Voyeur, Vol. 5

Jimmy (Tommy Pistol) is the embodiment of the classic nerd. A computer programmer who spends most of his time working from home alone, he has a hard time connecting with women face to face. To that end, he resorts to online dating to satisfy his loneliness, and eventually, he meets Jenna (Aiden Ashley), a woman who seems to be everything he’s ever wanted. But when a glitch on her PC leaves her camera stuck in broadcast mode, Jimmy gets an unsolicited look at her private life. Will Jimmy find Jenna to be the woman of his dreams, or will she turn out not to be who he thinks she is?

This may be my favorite ongoing series from writer/director Jacky St. James. The films are unconnected outside of the subject matter, which always revolves around one person spying on another. But St. James always weaves an intriguing narrative into that trope, elevating each film in the series beyond a simple sex fantasy. Here, she explores the idea of catfishing with the added wrinkle of voyeurism to give the story an extra kick. Pistol is one of the best actors working in adult today, and he really turns in a great performance. He’s vulnerable, relatable and likable. His honest, trusting nature makes him very easy to root for, but the audience will also identify with and pity his desperation to believe he’s finally found a real connection. Tommy’s co-star Ashley is an equally adept thespian, and she too nails her role. Her shame at her situation feels raw and real, and it makes determining whether or not she’s telling the truth difficult.

When a story is this well-written, the sex has the potential to elevate that story to the next level if executed well. Considering the cast, of course, the sex is great! Jimmy fantasizes about a romantic rendezvous with Jenna after hearing her glowing comments about him once she thinks her camera is off. She grins gleefully to herself as she marvels at his cuteness on her way to the shower, and a smitten Jimmy envisions himself walking in and surprising her. This scene is passionate and dripping with sexual heat as Jimmy seems almost shocked that Jenna would want him in this way. He can’t get enough of her body, as evidenced by his hungry moans and the way he buries his face in her hair, her ass, and her pussy.

Ryan McLane and his girlfriend Delilah Day find themselves with some free time in Tommy’s bedroom while they’re housesitting for him. Their sex is slow, sensual, and in sync as they rock and sway in unison with one another. Delilah delights in pleasing her man, giving a fantastic blowjob before mounting him and rocking his world.

After a huge plot point, Jenna ends up in bed with Mike Mancini for a scene that smacks of coercion. Aiden is enthusiastic and willing, but the narrative beat that precedes the sex makes everything she does seem performative. It’s a great example of how strong storytelling can change the tone of sex completely. Without that beat, Jenna and Mike are having a completely different kind of sex. Instead, Jenna’s every action feels like an attempt to appease Mike, and her own pleasure takes a complete back seat. The blowjob is amazing, and she lets him take her from behind in multiple ways so he can get off the way he wants.

Derrick Pierce and Jewelz Blu round out the sex. Jewelz has a great ass, and the viewer gets plenty of opportunity to watch it bounce as she lets Pierce pound her from underneath. He finishes her in an intimate missionary that practically melts her before unloading all over her perky tits. I won’t spoil the ending here, but you’ll definitely want to watch all the way through the credits.

Jacky St. James reminds everyone just how good a writer and director she is, while Pistol and Ashley deliver award-worthy performances as well. Don’t miss this one.
