Q&A: Belle Creed Ascends as 2020 XBIZ Rising Cam Star

Q&A: Belle Creed Ascends as 2020 XBIZ Rising Cam Star

2020 XBIZ Rising Cam Star winner Belle Creed, aka “Daddy Daycare,” reps her girl-next-door, down-to-earth brand with endearingly plucky passion.

And in just two years of jumping into the adult industry, she has exploded in popularity on both Chaturbate and OnlyFans, garnering fans with shows that she describes as “wild tailgate parties.”

I am good at hyping up the room, cracking jokes and getting the conversation flowing and having a good time.

True to form, even her reasons for giving camming a try as a freshman in college were as laid back and carefree as she is.

“I wish I had an exciting ‘joining the industry story,’ but mine is kind of just random!” she admits.

As it turns out, after a friend suggested she become a cam girl in 2018, following a joke Creed made about needing a new job, she dove right in.

“I had never heard of camming before and was instantly interested!” she excitedly shared.

That very day, she signed up for a Chaturbate account, and the rest is history.

In hindsight, Creed reflects she should have “probably researched and really learned about the adult industry” before leaping headfirst into the deep end, but it nonetheless ended up “working for me in the long run.”

To learn how she went from living in a closet of her friend’s apartment, working two jobs on top of camming, to a fast-rising full-time adult biz career, XBIZ sat down with the Cam Star of the Month for this exclusive interview.

XBIZ: Looking back on your first months as a cam model, in what ways have you grown the most?

Creed: Looking back on my (short) time in the industry I can think of so many ways I’ve changed. To be honest, I think I have done a complete transformation from my first show to the present. One of the biggest ways I would say I have grown is the value I put on myself and my self-confidence. I think one of the things people don’t realize is coming into a career like this as a teenager, you’re still very immature, impressionable and more or less lack self-confidence and general life experience.

In order to find who you are and your place in the industry, you have to get knocked off your feet a few times. I’ve definitely learned to put my foot down and say no to things I don’t truly enjoy or want to do. In order to do this, I’ve had to realize my time is valuable and just because my job is on the internet, it doesn’t mean I have to always be available. Just because I am on my phone, it doesn’t mean I have to constantly be working.

XBIZ: Discuss your favorite camming platform and why you love it.

Creed: Chaturbate is the first cam site I was on and I have stuck with her pretty consistently! I might have cheated a few times in the beginning to see if another site would fit me better, but I have found each time Chaturbate is my home.

I think the first site you’re on really shapes your brand and how you run your shows. I am definitely a quantity over quality cam model, which has its pluses and negatives. Not saying the members are low quality at all, but I enjoy having a group of fifty people tipping one dollar vs. one person tipping fifty. I am an entertainer and I think Chaturbate is set up better for that type show.

I am good at hyping up the room, cracking jokes and getting the conversation flowing and having a good time. I am really bad at forming deep intimate relationships and giving the “girlfriend experience” — think of my cam shows as wild tailgate parties, instead of a nice candlelit dinner date. The amount of traffic Chaturbate has is nonexistent on every other cam site and for a daily cam site, it’s unbeatable.

I want to be able to hang out with people from every walk of life with different types of budgets, without the pressure of a rank or worrying about having to make a certain amount of tokens during a show.

XBIZ: How do you handle marketing, to promote your shows and content? Tell us your method for attracting new fans and rewarding loyal ones.

Creed: The way I run my cam show really sets up the way I market myself and the other platforms that I offer. My main secondary stream of income is OnlyFans. I have both a free-to-subscribe page and pay-to-subscribe page. Much like my cam shows, my free page is random and things can be bought a la carte, unlike my paid page that has a set posting schedule and routine content. I post a new photoset every day on OnlyFans, so I spend a lot of time creating content for that. I also sell videos on clip sites like ManyVids and iWantClips, but I don’t upload to them regularly.

Moving into marketing, without a doubt Chaturbate is my main source of advertising. Speaking in terms of my content outside of cam, I think at this point my cam sells itself. I have a loyal group of followers who watch me every day and keep my cam on the front page, which draws in new viewers naturally. However, when marketing my other content outlets, there is no other place I am going to have thousands of people together, already interested in the product (me) than Chaturbate. Twitter and Instagram are secondary advertisement outlets, but nothing beats actually speaking to a group of people, seeing their feedback and being able to convince them they should purchase your product. Everyone tells me while I’m on cam that if the adult industry doesn’t work out, I can always be a saleswoman.

I am proud of the content I put out, which makes it easier to sell, but I look at it as a numbers game. If I put out a new video, what percentage of people can I convince to buy that video while I’m on cam during a short amount of time. Every day, before I log on, I set a certain number of sale spots on my OnlyFans and that’s the number I have to get before I log off. If for some reason I don’t get them, I will post an advertisement on my Twitter or Instagram to try and draw them in. Another huge marketing technique I use is networking with other models. I use telegram to network and find other girls to shout out for shout out on our pages and use inner industry connections to build our brands!

XBIZ: Who are your best friends in the industry and how do you hype each other up to succeed even more?

Creed: I know a ton of people, but don’t have a lot of close friends in the industry. I think friendships come and go as people change, just like in life. I am also so new to sex work, I’m still cultivating and growing my relationships. However, one of my closest friends is Allie Eve Knox. We have known each other for almost a year and just instantly clicked. I feel like she is almost a big sister to me. We share a lot of the same work ethic and goals, along with being similar in personality. We travel a lot together, along with other friends we have in the industry to make pretty things in pretty places.

Our work schedules line up so well that we always end up having a great professional and personal relationship while on our content trips. We always hype each other up I think because we’re so competitive. Not in a “I have to be better than you way,” but if I see her working, it pushes me to keep going even when I’m tired. I think we keep each other on our toes to constantly come up with new and creative content ideas. All of my friends in the industry constantly hype each other in normal friendship ways also. If I take a picture I really like or a clip, I’m going to send it to my group chat and everyone will send super ridiculous answers like “wow, that’s so hot I can’t stop sweating,” which of course makes you feel good about yourself.

XBIZ: What is your overall brand, in a nutshell? Discuss your “daddy daycare” theme, personality, style and overall vibe.

Creed: My overall brand in a nutshell is “girl next door.” I try to run my shows as down to earth and personal as possible. I want to be able to connect with people on a personal level instead of being a sex icon or this person up on a pedestal. I am still trying to obtain an overall visual brand. I’m so all over the place with what I wear and what type of pictures I post, I don’t think I have cultivated a signature style or look. I wear a lot of pink and have somewhat of a soft aesthetic, but nothing has stuck yet.

I am a very opinionated loudmouth; anyone who watches me will tell you that. I love to put on a show where everyone can participate and feel involved, so I love to talk all day on cam. Sometimes, I don’t put any goals up and I just sit and talk. I want to know everything about everyone. So, I probably poke people too much to make them talk, but I think everyone who watches enjoys feeling a little uncomfortable sometimes.

I also think I give the girlfriend experience to a lot of people as well; it’s definitely not the loving comforting part, but keeping them accountable. I try to push people to be better versions of themselves and that might mean I have to be the girlfriend who stays on you to better your life and do things that make you happy. I am also a spoiled bratty princess who is both submissive and dominant. I am becoming more dominant and so my brand is shifting currently, which is very far from the submissive, shy, college student brand I started with.

XBIZ: What was it like winning the XBIZ Cam Award trophy for Rising Cam Star?

Creed: I honestly didn’t think I was going to win Rising Cam Star of the year. My cam and look are so different than everyone else, I figured someone with a more put together brand and look would win. I was shocked and it showed me that I don’t have to look a certain way or perform like other people to be successful.

XBIZ: Any big ambitions for the coming year, professionally and personally?

Creed: I really want to spend the next year of my life growing in my personal life. My goal is to set boundaries for myself with work so I can enjoy life outside of cam. I think this one of the hardest industries to have a balanced personal and professional work, since we never have true time off. I want to travel outside of the country definitely, if I’m able to that is. I also would love to continue to shape my brand and really create an image for myself. I would really like to focus on things I enjoy instead of trying to spread myself too thinly across multiple platforms.
