Zane will be joined by adult performer Tera Wray, who appeared in Zane's recent DVDs "Tattooed & Tight" and "Radium." Both DVDs are available exclusively through Evolution Distribution.
"We're going to show people a suspension demonstration in a close, intimate setting," Zane told XBIZ. "You're going to be able to watch the piercings up close and talk to me through it. While I'm going through it, I can explain what's happening. I'm going to pick Tera Wray up after I swing around a bit."
Zane's last suspension was at the 2005 Download Festival in Donington, England, where he was suspended 30 feet in the air and swung out over the crowd of 40,000 during a 40-minute set by his band Society 1. Video from that set is included on "Radium," the first time that performance has appeared on DVD.
Zane met Navarro at the Rainbow Bar and Grill in West Hollywood, Calif., after Zane's signing event for "Tattooed & Tight" at Hustler Hollywood.
"We went over to the Rainbow to hang out, and Dave Navarro walked in and sat down with us, talking with Tera and Tommy Gunn," Zane said. "I heard him talking to Tommy about 'Tattooed & Tight,' and I introduced myself. He said I sounded like I had a lot to say, and he'd like to have me on his show. We exchanged numbers, and the next day I got a call from the management."
The suspension will be conducted by Constructs of Ritual Evolution (CoRE), the same group that handled the England suspension. CoRE also has done piercings and suspensions with illusionist Chris Angel.
