"This is a 3-hour feature and by far our best release yet," Pounder said. "I would be very surprised if this title was not nominated for best sex comedy this year."
"Entering The Student Body" hits the street on Aug. 23 and is the first condom-only project from the company.
"I've always wanted to use condoms in my movies, but never implemented the policy due to lower sales projections on condom-only titles, primarily in Europe," Pounder said. "As adult producers, we not only have a responsibility to protect our talent but also to promote safe sex ideals as STDs are a growing public health concern."
Distributors appear to be on board with the new production policy. "The state of California has asked that all producers comply with new standards regarding health and safety of performers on set, and I'm pleased to see and fully support Dave's decision to implement a condom-only policy," Bob East, owner of Lava Releasing which distributes Dave Pounder's titles, said.
