Kink.com Promotes Daniel Riedel to Chief Operating Officer

SAN FRANCISCO — Fetish studio Kink.com announced today that chief technical officer Daniel Riedel has been promoted to chief operating officer. Riedel takes over daily management responsibilities from company founder and chief executive officer Peter Acworth, who will assume a more creative role in the company.

"Kink.com's mission is to demystify and celebrate alternative sexualities by providing [our audiences with] the most ethical and authentic kinky adult entertainment,'" Riedel said. "To that end, as Kink.com's new chief operating officer, I'll be looking at new ways to allow our members to explore their own kink by investing in content, technology and strategic partnerships."

Acworth will remain the company's chief executive officer.

Prior to becoming chief technology officer of Kink.com in 2007, Riedel worked in the business technology group at Yahoo. He brings 15 years management experience to his new role as chief operating officer.

Kink.com has developed a network of premium adult sites that now operate from studios in the San Francisco Armory, a decommissioned National Guard facility. Kink.com also operates a free documentary site at BehindKink.com and the affiliate network KinkyDollars.com.
