Queensway is presently the U.K. distributor for titles from Digital Sin, Mercenary Pictures, Red Light District, Zero Tolerance and 3rd Degree.
Nectar CEO Sean Logan told XBiz that the exclusive deal with Queensway will include Nectar’s “Welcome to the Valley” series of six titles that have been edited for both the adults-only R18 market and a softer version rated 18, which will be distributed to different U.K. adult and mainstream outlets, including Virgin Megastore and Blockbuster.
The “Valley,” series, directed by Johnny Diablo, takes viewers on a ride through the porn capital of the world.
The softer version of Nectar’s sofcore re-edits show nothing between the belly button and the kneecap, Logan said, and while they are the same movies as their hardcore counterparts, there is no visible penetration.
“Whether it is white or black or fetishes, some people would rather watch a cable version than an X-rated version,” Logan said. “Queensway has an impressive distribution network, and their eagerness to represent our product makes us feel more than comfortable that they will leverage their knowledge of the British market to our mutual advantage.”
Under the terms of the deal, Queensway also will prepare each title to meet the stringent content requirements of the British market.
Queensway is helmed by Managing Director Stuart Inglis and runs seven stores throughout the United Kingdom.
