“I’m excited about winning," Phoenix said. "And thank you to Matthew, Courtney, Dan and everybody who put this fun awards program together.”
Phoenix also made an appearance this week on the "Mike and Julie" show, a talk program that broadcasts nationwide on Fox, and can be seen on an upcoming episode of We Channel's "The Secret Lives of Women," airing Sept. 23.
“I’m a little nervous about this," Phoenix said. "It’s me, as a person, as a woman, as a human being, out on the table for all to see: all my past, all my hopes … but I’m also proud of what I’ve done so far, and where I’m going."
