Red Light District Announces Logo Contest

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Adult production company Red Light District has announced a contest for fans and animators to design and produce a new 30-45 second animated opening clip for the beginning of Red Light District productions.

"We thought that film students and porn fans would bring the best touch to this," Red Light District Public Relations Director Larry Schwarz told XBIZ. "But anybody is welcome to send in an entry. You don't have to be a porn fan or a film student."

The entry must be the contestant's original design, and not a copy of another work that may be subject to copyright laws. The current Red Light District logo may be modified, "or they can make a whole new logo if they want," Schwarz said.

The creator of the winning entry and a guest will be flown to Los Angeles, "or picked up by a really nice car if they live in L.A. already," Schwarz said. The winner will receive a three-day stay in Los Angeles and be a guest at the taping of an upcoming Red Light District production.

All entries should be burned onto a DVD disc and sent to: Red Light District, 20339 Nordhoff St., Chatsworth, CA 91311, Attn: Animated Contest.

Individuals may enter more than once. All entries must be received by Oct. 30. The entries will be reviewed and the winner announced sometime in November 2008. This contest is void where prohibited, and other rules may apply. All entries become property of Red Light District and may not be returned
