5280 Mobile Puts Playboy Playmates on Cellphones

DENVER — Alpha Models, a talent agency specializing in “celebrity-class models,” including more than two dozen Playboy Playmates, has signed a five-year agreement with 5280 Mobile to make content featuring Alpha's models available to cellphone users worldwide.

The company is currently rolling out products such as sexy wallpapers, bikini and lingerie shots, and video content.

“We’re excited to introduce Alpha Models to the wireless world,” 5280 Mobile President Blake Fayling said. “Their celebrity models have a loyal fan base that already identify with the online experience, and having their favorite beauty on their phone will only enhance that.”

While 5280 Mobile will not be developing or distributing any hardcore content as part of the deal, it does represent the company’s first foray into "sexy" content. The company’s mainstream clients include SoBe Beverages, ESPN and the E! television series “Kill Reality.”

Content will be available on individual carrier decks in the United States as well as in overseas markets, where demand for erotic content on sell phones is booming. Users also will be able to download Alpha Models on mobile devices through a dedicated WAP site.

Some of the Playboy Playmates represented by Alpha Models include Baywatch star Traci Bingham and Playmates of the Year Victoria Silvstedt, Tina Jordan and Karen McDougal.

“The Internet is an incredible way for our models and their fans to communicate and interact,” Alpha Models CEO Scott James said.
