Founded in December 2007, Carnal University currently offers only one course, Introduction to the Adult Industry, which is also its first online course.
The class costs $19.99 and offers students an overall survey of the industry's history.
"The [course] will take students on a tour of how the industry has progressed over time," a representative for the school said. "Pioneers, milestones, technology and pop culture moments are all highlighted as you get your feet wet in the Adult Industry by learning the history of porn."
The $19.99 price is a special offer in effect until the end of the year. Future courses to be offered at the school include How to Make an Adult Film, The Adult Online Business, Legal Issues in the Adult Industry, Being a Successful Adult Film Performer and Guide to Filming Your Own Home Porn.
According to the school, the Carnal University staff comprises professionals from the worlds of business and information technology whose experience includes work done to help corporations provide online education.
