Erotic Heritage Museum Looking for Docents

LAS VEGAS — Harry Mohney’s Erotic Heritage Museum, in cooperation with the American College of Sexologists, has announced a training program for docents.

"People want to know about our erotic heritage," said Dr. Ted McIlvenna, the museum's curator.

In cooperation with the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco, faculty and students from the University of Nevada in Las Vegas and erotic artists from Las Vegas, potential docents will be offered a free 12-hour training program starting this week.

There is no charge for the course, but each graduate is asked to donate 40 hours of time as docents at the museum, after which they may apply for the several positions available as paid part-time docents at the museum.

At completion of the 12-hour, 1 academic unit course, a certification by the American College of Sexologists as an erotological docent will be awarded.

The Erotic Heritage Museum is located at 3275 Industrial Way in Las Vegas. Call Laura Henkel at (702) 369-6442 for more information.
