The Floating World Adds New Time-Based News Page

LOS ANGELES — Adult industry news and events website The Floating World has added a time-based news page to its news and information pages.

The new Hourly News page lets readers scan headlines from all categories from the last 24 hours grouped by the hour in which they were gathered in "Porn Valley Time."

"I read Techmeme and Blogrunner every day, and I like that hour-by-hour format," Floating World Publisher Terri Redor told XBIZ. "I created a page that moves in that direction. I also got tired of scrolling down the page with every single site looking for new stories. I thought that if I could bring in the top headlines and hit that every hour, I might use that. And I do use it.

"It's an option for people who don't want to scroll down through every site."

The Floating World's industry news aggregation engine scans 60 adult industry news sources every hour, and sorts new items into categories including Video News, Webmaster News, Sex News and Mainstream Crossover News. More than 300 industry news stories and blog entries pass through the system each day.

In addition to news, The Floating World publishes adult industry event announcements and tracks personal appearances of adult industry performers at adult industry conventions, parties, signings, and gentlemen’s clubs across the U.S.

For more information, email Redor at terri@thefloatingworld.com.
