Shane’s World, xPeeps, Host ‘College Invasion’ Kickoff Party

LOS ANGELES — Shane's World, xPEEPS and AEBN will host a kickoff party for the Shane’s World 2008/2009 “College Invasion” tour Thursday, Aug. 14.

The event will take place at Blue Moon Nights in North Hollywood. The party will be open to the general public, said Shane's World vice president of sales Megan Stokes.

“We want to give back to you, our fans and friends, so we got the owner to make this a free party for everyone,” Stokes said. “Attire is as casual, sexy, wild or as wacky as you want to be. Just be there.”

Partygoers can expect a number of promotions throughout the night including T-shirt and DVD giveaways, drink specials and a beer soaked T-shirt contest. The winner will receive a prize pack that includes a $500 bar tab and other items. There also will be boat races where the public will take on the porn stars. Shane's World contract star Casey Parker, director/performer Penny Flame and other industry members are expected to attend.

"I can't wait to kick off the new college year,” Parker said. “And what better way than hanging out with hundreds of my friends and fans at Blue Moon Nights."

Shane’s World “College Invasion” reality series has been featured on MTV, CNN, Inside Edition, The O’Reilly Factor, Dateline and in Rolling Stone and Time Magazine.

“’College Invasion’ is a staple in the Shane's World arsenal of true reality series,” Airek, Shane’s World’s vice president of marketing and brand management told XBIZ. “It paved the way for every other copycat site out there. It’s about all the things that people go to college for — education, sex, parties, drinking and living. And enjoying youth without the restrictions placed on society by overbearing media and social hypocrites.”

“The next tour is going to be just as off the hook as the very first,” Airek said.

Blue Moon Nights is located at 4712 Lankershim Blvd. Doors open at 9 p.m.
