Collin O’Neal Retires from Performing

MIAMI — Former Hot House exclusive and director/producer for his own World Of Men line, Collin O’Neal announced today that he would retire from performing.

In a phone interview with XBIZ earlier this week, O’Neal said that he would like to focus his efforts on production for his WorldOfMen.com website and DVD line.

O’Neal attributed the success of his online endeavors to audiences that crave more natural-looking men, often of diverse ethnicity that have real chemistry in front of the camera. In order to accommodate his members, O’Neal travels internationally, literally going the extra mile to find new models in their native locales.

“I just think now is the time to focus on working behind the camera since I feel I created a porn afficionado base that is not focused on me being in front of the camera but rather the hot new guys I find to perform for me from all around the world,” O’Neal said in a statement.

O’Neal began his performing career in 2003, in Hot House Entertainment’s “Skuff 2,” after being introduced to the industry by then boyfriend Arpad Miklos. Aggressively marketed by Hot House founder Steven Scarborough, O’Neal said, “I really have to thank Steven for making such a large star out of me.”

After fulfilling his contract to Hot House, O’Neal worked for many major gay studios including Falcon, Titan, Channel 1 Releasing and Raging Stallion.

“I didn’t do too many movies since I was very picky about my scene partners,” O’Neal said. “I also had a fulltime job and attended night classes for my masters degree, so I didn’t have a lot of time nor motivation to do a ton of movies.”

In 2005, he founded Collin O’Neal Productions with friend Rich Richards, after making the decision to start a signature website, CollinONeal.com.

Relocating to London, where he moved to shoot content, O’Neal eventually landed in Miami. While there, O’Neal met Raging Stallion Studios founder Chris Ward, who approached him to perform a scene with Francois Sagat. Ward also offered O’Neal the opportunity to distribute his own line of DVDs, which resulted in Raging Stallion’s “Lebanon” in 2007.

“I always wanted to film in Lebanon. I lived there for one year and I knew how gorgeous the potential model pool would be,” O’Neal said. “I also had the crazy idea of filming in a bombed out building and messy Lebanese kitchen, but I could have never done it with out the financial backing of Chris Ward.”

The debut title garnered several nominations and awards and was an impressive start for what eventually grew into the World of Men concept. Known for exotic, unusual locations and the use of new, native talent, O’Neal produced his first World of Men title, “Miami” in his hometown, starring Roman Ragazzi.

Within the last few months, O’Neal made the move to self-distribution of his World of Men titles. Bringing on Scott Boardman as director of marketing and distribution, O’Neal’s first self-distributed title, “Serbia” was released last week.

The movie, shot entirely on location in Serbia, contains O’Neal’s last scene, in a threesome with Dakota Rivers and Bijan.

The newly revamped WorldOfMen.com website also has recently launched.

“Over the past year I have invested a great deal of time managing my business and learning to work the video camera and less time at the gym,” O’Neal said. “I just do not feel so good about my body in addition to meeting a special person that is not comfortable with me performing, so I made the decision to retire.

“I may change my mind in the future,” O’Neal added, “but if I decide to perform again the scene will only be featured on my website. I feel more like a business man now, and less like a porn star with an ego — like others in the industry that keep performing in their own movies.”
