Former HGTV Host Starts Adult Website

LOS ANGELES — Lee Snijders, former host of HGTV's “Design On A Dime,” has started an adult girl-girl website with his girlfriend, former actress and current mainstream photographer Jett Angel.

The site, Goth Rock Girls is an all-girl punk rock porn site with a reality format that features the two producers as well as the performers.

With their production company, Exxxcel, Snijders and Angel also have four other reality adult websites and a reality TV show in development. The show, called "The Dirty Biz," is based on the couple's experiences starting an adult production company from the ground up with no prior experience while dealing with their former mainstream careers.

“I tried to continue my relationship with HGTV by pitching them show ideas but unfortunately they were not interested and the company did not renew my contract," Snijders said. "I found myself auditioning for design shows with models and actors posing as designers while my competitors got their own shows on HGTV. With the housing market crash and being stereotyped as a budget designer, I stayed flexible, open-minded and moved on.”

Moving into adult was Angel's idea.

“One morning over breakfast, Lee and I were discussing how frustrated he was with his situation,” Angel said. “I said to him, 'You know production, I know photography — Let’s shoot porn.'"

The story originally broke on tabloid site TMZ.com, in a post that pointed out Snijders' past as a TV host and Disney Imagineer. Although Snijders' contract with HGTV lapsed more than a year ago, his "Design on a Dime" episodes can still be seen on the cable channel.

An invitation-only affiliate program for GothRockGirls.com has been established. For more information, visit ExxxcelCash.com.
