'Not the Bradys XXX' Director Meets 'Brady Bunch' Creator's Son

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — "Not the Bradys XXX" director Will Ryder met the son of "The Brady Bunch" creator Sherwood Schwartz at a performance of "A Very Brady Musical" in Los Angeles last week. Lloyd J. Schwartz co-wrote and directed "A Very Brady Musical" and was an acting coach on the original TV series.

"I’m a huge fan of 'The Brady Bunch' and I took a date to see this incredibly funny musical," Ryder said. "After the performance, I had a chance to meet Mr. Schwartz in the lobby and he was quite pleasant and fun to talk to."

Schwartz had seen the tabloid news reports about "Not the Bradys," although he was clearly uncomfortable with the topic of porn according to Ryder.

"He made a comment to me that solidified what some in the real world still think about our business when he said he didn’t really have a problem as long as no girls were forced into performing in the movie," Ryder said. "That really blew my mind and I assured him that nobody was forced."

Ryder said that each girl appeared willingly in the movie and when Schwartz asked how he knew, Ryder confessed that he was the director.

"That was the bombshell that ended the conversation as he politely told me thanks for coming and quickly left me standing there with my date," Ryder said.

Ryder's "Not the Bradys: Marcia Marcia Marcia" is scheduled for November release.

"A Very Brady Musical" runs through July 20 at Theatre West, 3333 Cahuenga Boulevard West in Los Angeles.

There is no association between "A Very Brady Musical" and "Not the Bradys XXX."
