"When you experiment around with different materials you come up with different formulations," California Exotic Novelties Director of Marketing Al Bloom told XBIZ. "The designers that we work with came up with this formulation and it felt so great that we wanted to go forward with it.
"You don't have to powder it to keep it in its original condition. With the old materials, after they're washed they need to be powdered. This material has the great feel of actual skin without having to go through all of that maintenance. That was the big selling point for us."
The new products made with Pure Skin material are the Pure Stud Dong, which features a three-speed vibrator and is available in ivory and brown; the Shane's World Stud 101 dong, which has a three-speed vibrator and comes in pink and purple, three masturbation sleeves called Just Lips, Just Pussy and Just Booty; and three pump sleeves called Lips, Pussy and Universal. The sleeves are designed to fit most pump cylinders.
“Many of our new products come as a result of our focus groups and at the request of our customers,” said California Exotic Novelties owner and founder Susan Colvin. “We’ve been receiving requests to develop a new lifelike material — the result is Pure Skin. We’ve always been about satisfying the needs of our customers and encourage them to continue to send us suggestions and requests for new and existing products.”
The new products are available from online retailers now, and should be appearing in brick-and-mortar retail stores "in another week," Bloom said.
