Kink.com Taps John Sander as Vice President

SAN FRANCISCO — Kink.com has announced the promotion of John Sander from director of marketing to vice president of marketing and business development, effective immediately. The promotion marks Sander's first anniversary with Kink.com, where he joined as manager of its affiliate program, KinkyDollars.com, in the spring of 2007.

"I'm very excited about Kink.com's future," Sander said, "especially as we venture into totally new business models to better serve our customers and the kinky community."

Kink.com founder and CEO Peter Acworth is pleased with Sander's new role.

"John's new role will help us take the Kink.com vision to new arenas," Acworth said. "We're launching many new products, all focused on our core mission: demystifying alternative sexualities and empowering sexual adventurers. John is playing a key role in the expansion of our brand and the development of new sites and offerings — so it's a pleasure to recognize that with a new title."

New products announced or launched by Kink.com in 2008 have included a new video-on-demand site, KinkOnDemand.com, and Kink.com's entry into the hardcore gay market with director Van Darkholme's BoundGods.com, which launches Aug. 1. Also in development are a new bondage, gangbang and public-humiliation site from WiredPussy.com director Princess Donna, a new blowjob site and a new golden showers site, all as yet unnamed. In addition, the company will enter the DVD market this year with a selection of content from its sites.
