FOXE Follies Rocks the Whisky

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The 2008 FOXE Follies were hosted on Sunday night at the world famous Whisky A Go Go, on the Sunset Strip. The event, which was a fundraiser for nonprofit organization Protecting Adult Welfare (P.A.W.), brought together superstars from the Golden era of adult with up-and-coming stars of today.

The evening was emceed by adult patriarch Bill Margold and co-hosted by big-busted star Summer Cummings.

The show kicked off with Déjà Vu contract dancer Sunny Lane, who wowed the crowd with her elaborate feature performance. Lane wore a frilly bubblegum pink dress with pink glitter platforms, and carried a basket of lollipops, which made a sweet prop for her sexy striptease. She slowly peeled off two skirts, then the dress, to reveal silver pasties and a tiny pink thong to the appreciative crowd.

Lane was joined onstage by starlets Shauna Lenee and Madison Scott for some girl-on-girl action.

Margold took turns throughout the evening of tributes to remind the crowd of the importance of the performers and the historic elements of the industry. As Lane left the stage Margold announced to the crowd that they had witnessed “the future of X.”

Talk of the Town owner and industry veteran Raymond Pistol was honored with a special award naming him “The Patron Saint of Porn Preservation.” Pistol had come from Las Vegas to be on hand to receive the award.

Also honored on Sunday night: Margold presented classic performers Debi Diamond, Bionca and Porsche Lynn with their personalized playing cards from a special set of portrait playing cards that feature the photos of adult superstars.

Diamond, Bionca and Porsche Lynn starred in hundreds of titles from the late '80s to early ‘00s, and Lynn was one of the duo of famous Lynns that was present at the gala.

Ginger Lynn, who was also to have been honored at the show and would have made it a threesome, was noticeably absent.

Director Brandon Iron admitted that he’s “geekier than any guy here” when it came to being a Ginger Lynn fan.

Amber Lynn was present, fresh from a comeback with new titles from Wicked Pictures and Evasive Angles, and also organizing and directing a benefit DVD project for legendary director Henri Pachard, who has been battling cancer.

Producers the Chorizo Bros. were also honored for their contribution to the industry, and threw vibrators and T-shirts out to the crowd.

Crystal Ashley did a comedy strip routine where she pantomimed to parody Britney Spears’ songs, which got big laughs from the crowd, and also made the big boob worshippers in the audience happy.

Performer Midori belted out a song for the audience dressed in a gold bikini.

Dancer Sandra London did a seductive number to a Jimi Hendrix tune; appropriate since Hendrix himself played the Whisky in 1967.

Savannah Jane, Jessica D’Vine and Jennifer put on a more hardcore performance for the crowd, rocking to a soundtrack of Nine Inch Nails.

The evening was capped off by a performance from Aussie adult performer Monica Mayhem’s band, Sweet Avenge, who did three original numbers, which rocked the house.

Adult industry members also on hand for the FOXE Follies: Taylor Wane, Elizabeth Starr, Anita Cannibal, Anita Blue, Tianna Taylor, Angelae, Bethany Sweet, Jennifer, Roy Karch, Ron Hightower, Chris Charming, Craig Valentine, Kenny, Valentino, Johnny Cobalt and Eric Swiss.
