Israeli Amateur Porn Site Features Jews, Arabs

TEL AVIV, Israel — Israeli website Parpar1.com offers amateur porn with native Israelis, both Jews and Arabs. The site, which is available in English and Hebrew, was founded in 2000 by two Tel Aviv computer professionals, computer programmer Ari Levy and web developer Shay Malol.

Parpar1 is a pay service that can be accessed on the web worldwide or via mobile phone in Israel, England, Spain and Italy, with Romania scheduled to join soon. Videos from the site are available on video-on-demand through AEBN and HotMovies.

Levy said the site is a commercial endeavor with no political overtones.

"I'm not a politician. I'm here to make money," Levy said.

Parpar1 shoots scenes every week, sometimes in hotel rooms or a rented villa, sometimes in natural settings like beaches or forests. The site advertises for performers online and in Israeli newspapers, and around 70 to 80 young Israeli women have agreed to perform, according to Levy.

None of the performers were born outside the Holy Land.

"Many Russians here call me, but I don't hire them," Levy said, referring to a recent wave of immigration.

Many of the performers are college students, but Levy said that "all kinds of people" have been in the site's videos, including married women who bring their husbands to the set. "For them, it is an adventure to do it," he said.

The word "parpar" is Hebrew for "butterfly," but it has been used as a slang term to describe a swinger. When it is used as a verb, it means "to sleep around."

Levy said he believes that Israel is the only country in the Middle East where there is a commercial porn business operating openly — although Parpar1 subscribers are billed using the name of a fuel supply company.
