Channel 1 Partners With ONE Condoms

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Gay production company Channel One Releasing (C1R) announced today that it has partnered with ONE-brand condoms in a cross-promotional campaign to raise awareness about condom use with the ONE Condom Pride Mix 3-pack.

C1R founder and partner Chi Chi LaRue has been an outspoken advocate of condom use in the adult industry as well as in the gay community for many years and looks the product cross-promotion as a social responsibility.

"We take safe sex very seriously at C1R and the health of our models is second to none. When we saw ONE Condoms Pride Mix, we knew they would be the perfect partner for us," LaRue said.

"ONE has brought the fun back to condoms and made it sexy to not only use, but carry condoms,” she added. “As soon as we saw the great designs, we dumped the condoms we had been using and immediately replaced them with ONE. We plan on working with ONE for a long time to come, no pun intended."

The ONE Condoms Pride Mix contains three condoms packaged in a round foil wrapper that features clever, sexy graphic images designed to appeal to the gay market. The wrappers also bear the ONE logo, as well as the URL address for C1R’s public service announcement website, SafeSexIsHotSex.com. One of the wrappers features a photo of LaRue with the slogan “ONE Hot Lady.”

"For us at ONE Condoms, delivering the message of safety into the gay community is so important at a time where bare-back is en vogue and transmission rates are on the rise," said Davin Wedel, President of Global Protection makers of ONE Condoms. "By partnering with the best of the best in the gay adult industry, we have aligned ourselves with a true life-partner."

At the ONE condoms website, Global Protection also supports a number of community-based resources organizations and charities, as well as sponsoring consumer contests and special promotions.

ONE-brand condoms are available at major retailers including Walgreens, Fred Meyer, Eckerds, Albertsons, CVS, Publix, Jewel-Osco, Sav-on, Costco.com and Drugstore.com, among others.
