2257 Compliance Statements Continue to Trickle In

LOS ANGELES — While adult companies are no longer flooding webmaster boards with statements concerning their efforts to ensure compliance with 2257 record-keeping and labeling requirements, announcements are trickling in.

In an effort to keep webmasters informed, XBiz has compiled a top-line view of 2257 compliance statements not previously covered by XBiz.

  • Using only hosted marketing methods for its Cash Fetish program.

  • Continuing to use both softcore and hardcore banners, but does not intend to release model information.

  • Announced that all of its promotional tools and tours are fully compliant with the 2257 regulations and you can feel confident in using Hustler pre-approved content.

  • Has only authorized use of pre-approved content appearing on FlyntDigital.com.

    • Homegrown Video / Xplor / New Destiny

  • Has ensured that all records are properly maintained, indexed and cross referenced.

  • Providing online stores that feature Homegrown products with softcore versions of its box covers for display.

  • Requiring webmasters to use only softcore banners, pictures and clips for galleries. Those wishing to design their own banners and templates must first get design approval.

  • Removed all promotional banners deemed sexually explicit from its websites, servers and networks.

  • Providing U.S.-based affiliates with banners showing limited nudity only.

  • Automatically replacing all hosted banners with 2257 compliant ones, with no need to replace any code.

  • Providing U.S. affiliates with nonexplicit banners.

  • Deleting some sites and reworking others with new tours and content.

  • All discontinued sites will be redirected to a site of a similar niche with linking code.

  • Sites being retired include: Schoolyard Sex, Two Dollar Hooker, Penile Gains and Cunt Soup.

  • Sites being reworked include: Arse Shafters, Gold Coast Models, Wild Sins and Disco Hoes.

    • Platinum Bucks

  • Uploaded new free content and ensured all existing content in its free content area is compliant.

  • Requiring affiliates to remove Platinum Bucks nonexclusive, older content and replace it with newly provided content.

  • Removed banner content that was not 2257 compliant and created new banner materials.

  • Assigned an exclusive account manager has been assigned to every webmaster inside the webmaster stats area and added a new designer to create compliant material for webmasters.

  • Providing model records in encrypted file format, which will be available for download inside webmaster tools. This file will be continuously updated.

  • Providing a phone number for webmasters to gain access to files in the event of a 2257 investigation.

    • Private Cash

  • Will not release personal information on models to webmasters for the foreseeable future but will continue working on a solution to get webmasters compliant.

  • Requesting that U.S. affiliates remove all hardcore content.

  • Closing shop.

  • Requested that webmasters remove all free sexually explicit content images, banners or tour screen shots.

  • Releasing new, fully compliant free content as soon as possible.

  • Pulling down some hosted galleries and redirect traffic to similar, compliant hosted galleries and/or site tour.

  • Creating 2257-compliant banners and promotional materials.

  • Closing sites that have not responded to emails and certified letters requesting new documentation.
