Sex.com Taps Tom Hymes to Develop Consumer News Channel

CALABASAS, Calif. — Sex.com has announced the hiring of former XBIZ Publisher Tom Hymes as the site’s news director. Hymes remains with XBIZ as the leading media company’s executive editor.

In his new role with Sex.com, Hymes will serve in a public relations capacity in addition to developing the Sex.com news channel, as well as to help develop and produce exclusive radio and TV shows for the site.

The Sex.com news channel will provide a comprehensive daily menu of breaking news and information of interest to contemporary adult audiences, as well as more insightful and entertaining stories, interviews and features about celebrities, modern culture and the adult entertainment industry.

“Adding someone who has the talent and intrinsic qualities like Tom to our team is a major step forward for us,” CEO/President Del Anthony said. “I believe his insight and experience will play a major role in helping create an informative and innovative news channel for our site that will keep adults coming back time and time again.”

The enthusiastic Hymes is excited about his new challenge.

“I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to help create the ultimate adult consumer destination for news and entertainment on the Internet,” Hymes said. “We’re building an amusement park at the intersection of mainstream and adult. When people realize the breadth of what Sex.com is and the quality of its partners, and experience its richness of content and abundance of e-commerce opportunities, I’m confident they will be as enthusiastic as I am about this very unique property.”

Hymes can be reached by phone at (800) 506.9810, ext.109, or on ICQ at 232367366.
