Ryder explained that it was Teagan’s work on the Bewitched movie, where she plays Tabitha, that led him to cast her as Marcia.
“We would not have cast her, but we needed an actress and she actually turned out to be able to act really well,” Ryder said. Playing Tabitha, Ryder said the starlet “brought her own special touch to the character.”
“It’s going to be absolutely great,” he added. “We’re very pleased.”
Teagan, who was taking a break from her scene, told XBIZ she is happy to have gotten the role.
“It feels so good because I’m only doing a limited number of things this year, and for me, it’s amazing,” she said.
“I’m just happy that he trusts me like that,” she added. “Because he said, ‘You know, this is a big part…’ and I hadn’t even read for it yet, but he asked what I thought about it and I really wanted to do it. I’m excited.”
Formerly a contract star at Digital Playground, Teagan said she is aware that she is starting a new part of her career, and is aware that she may be under scrutiny since few people know what to expect from her.
“It’s good, but it’s a little nerve-wracking because I know that everybody’s watching to see how I look, and, ‘What kind of scenes is she doing? Who’s she working with?’” Teagan said. “So, I have to live up to the standards and it’s like being under a microscope right now. Everything that I do, I’m just trying my best at it. I’ve never done a lot of dialogue features — [Not Bewitched XXX} is really like my first one. I was really nervous, but I actually did a pretty good job with it, so I’m happy.” Ryder felt that Teagan’s fanbase would expand to other markets, now that she is set to star in several major productions for 2008.
“She’s a bonafide superstar and working with us on these types of movies is only going to enhance her stature, just like it did for Hillary Scott,” Ryder said. “This is going to expose her to a whole new audience of sorts and just make her bigger and more visible than ever. And we’re gonna work the hell out of her.”
Production for “Not The Bradys XXX 2” starts on April 17, but Ryder said not to expect the title to street until later in the fall. Sales reps Hustler/LFP, who are distributing the movie, have told him the first one is still selling well, so there is no hurry to get the sequel on the shelves.
“Not The Bradys XXX” has also been number one at HotMovies.com for the last six weeks, according to Ryder, and will debut on Playboy TV within a few days.
“This is what we had hoped for when we got into this business,” he said. “This was our goal, and to be having this all come true and to have more work than we can actually do, especially in these very difficult transition times in porn, it’s remarkable.”
