Harmony Films Signs IPTV Pact with Global Digital Broadcast

LONDON — Harmony Films has signed an agreement with U.K.-based Internet protocol television provider Global Digital Broadcast to distribute Harmony titles on its IPTV networks.

Harmony Films is one of 20 featured producers on GDB's adult channel lineup, which includes Woodman Entertainment and gay producer Eurocreme. It is now closed to further additions.

"Having our titles chosen as part of GDB's adult offerings is a tremendous testament to the quality of our productions and an opportunity to work with one of the leaders in the IPTV industry," Harmony Films sales and marketing manager Jason Maskell said. "They've made impressive strides to bring IPTV from an idea to a product that's available to practically anyone with a broadband Internet connection."

Global Digital Broadcast provides technical services that enable Internet protocol television to be delivered by broadcasters around the world to viewers around the world. GDB operates the PlayTV UK network in the United Kingdom, Via America outside the U.S., SuncasTV within the U.S. and IPQube in the Philippines. Viewers can also watch the company's lineup through its Goxxxtv.com Internet portal.

"Harmony, over the years, has impressed me with its commitment to producing high quality movies," Jim Deans, co-founder and managing director of Global Digital Broadcast, said. "Whereas other production houses have gone down the gonzo route, Harmony has consistently kept the bigger consumer picture in sight; from the caliber of its content, to the decision to embrace IPTV."
