Eddie’s Kids Becomes ASACP Title Sponsor

The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced that children’s charity organization Eddie’s Kids has become their newest title sponsor.

“Eddie’s Kids help 50,000 children a year, thanks to the financial support of the adult industry. We can see the children we help, no one sees the children ASACP helps,” Eddie’s Kids founder Eddie Wedelstedt said.

“What ASACP does to protect children means so much to me,” he added. “We wanted to show our appreciation for everything ASACP does and help them to further their mission by supporting them as sponsors.”

Wedelstedt is the former owner of adult retail chain Goalie Entertainment and founded Eddie’s Kids in 1991 as a charitable trust that gives underprivileged children tickets to sporting events.

“Eddie’s Kids has done so much in order to better the lives of children,” ASACP CEO Joan Irvine said. “We are very pleased that they have furthered their dedication to helping children by protecting them online through their support of ASACP.”

Since 1996, ASACP has worked with the support of the online adult industry toward the elimination of online child pornography, as well as providing parents with resources needed to promote age-appropriate online viewing.
