FAME Awards Set for June 7

LOS ANGELES — Fans of Adult Media and Entertainment (FAME) has announced the date for its third annual awards show.

Fans will cast their votes on the web and winners will be announced June 7 at 9 p.m. at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The first round of voting, where fans will select the finalists in each category, is scheduled to start on the FAME website on March 3, with the final voting round slated to begin April 21. More than 100,000 votes were cast in last year’s contest, and promoters are expecting this year’s edition to exceed those numbers.

“We couldn’t be happier or more proud of how this show has grown in such a short amount of time,” said Dan Davis, editor-in-chief of Genesis magazine and FAME spokesman. “We were extremely proud of the record number of voters for last year’s show, and the event itself was a much bigger affair. We couldn’t do this without the support of the fans, stars or studios, and we hope to make this year’s show bigger and better.”

The FAME Awards were created in 2006 by Genesis magazine, Adam & Eve, WantedList.com and AVN.com for fans to honor their favorite adult film performers, directors, movies and companies. Fans take part in the entire process, from choosing the finalists to selecting the winners in more than a dozen categories.

The awards show will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center and is free with admission to Erotica LA.

Hosts for the show will be announced in the coming weeks.
