Channel 1 Releasing Takes Home 8 GAYVN Awards

LOS ANGELES — Gay distribution company Channel 1 Releasing (C1R) announced that the company received eight 2008 GAYVN Awards — including six awards for director Chi Chi LaRue’s highly acclaimed “Link V: The Evolution” (which won Best All-Sex Video), Best Specialty Release — Bear for Rascal Video’s “When Bears Attack” and the coveted Best Newcomer award for Rascal Exclusive Blake Riley.

“I couldn’t be happier about the multitude of awards we won this year,” C1R cofounder LaRue said. “Especially the Best Newcomer award for Blake Riley and the Best Music award for my nephew Red Shag. I nearly broke out in tears when both of their names were announced.”

Eight GAYVN Award wins this year makes C1R one of the most awarded companies in the gay porn industry.
