Pacific Sun Entertainment Gets New Ownership

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. — Gay distribution company Pacific Sun Entertainment has announced that, after founding the company 10 years ago, owner Motti Green has decided to move on and the company is now under new ownership.

New owners Sam and Pritam come to Pacific Sun with a background in technology and marketing, as well as experience in the adult industry.

“We have already begun re-establishing our presence in the industry by a very productive showing at the recent Las Vegas show,” Pacific Sun Publicity Director Michael LaBarbera said. “The response from those who visited our booth to renew, start and/or expand their business relationships with us was most gratifying.”

Sam and Pritam said they plan to revitalize the company by increasing production of quality new releases and providing impeccable service to customers, vendors and suppliers.

The new owners also said they plan to delve into other adult movie genres (as well as manufacture toys and novelties) that compliment the current Pacific Sun offerings, as well as offer video content on other platforms.

“They want to use new media technologies to expand our reach around the globe,” LaBarbera said. “I am very pleased that we will be moving ahead and utilizing the new technologies the industry has to offer.”

Pritam will act as general manager, while former owner Green will continue to act as a consultant for the company.

Pacific Sun is currently in production on several projects, including an interracial film directed by Edward James that features some Southern boys and a Paul Barresi title centering around hairy guys.

“Our big wholesale exclusive now is “A Rising Star” from Ridgeline Films,” LaBarbera said. “We are set to distribute their next title as well and that is really exciting.”

Ridgeline Films has done well for its first production. “A Rising Star” received an XBIZ Awards nomination for GLBT Feature of the Year and received several GAYVN Award nominations, including Best Actor for its founder/star Jason Ridge.

“In addition to Ridgeline,” LaBarbera said, “we still carry some amazing lines. Sierra Pacific/Fox Studios is an all-time favorite with customers and our lines directed by Paul Barresi, Csaba Borbely and Phil St. John are still crowd-pleasers.”
