Sex comedy “The Intern” starring Ben Andrews and “Michael Lucas’ Gigolo” have been mentioned on lists from Fleshbot, ManNet.com and Rad Video.
"There were no other movies like 'Gigolo' and 'The Intern' in 2007," Lucas Entertainment President and CEO Michael Lucas said. "They've both been runaway successes for us, and I'm glad the industry has recognized them as such."
Adult portal Fleshbot.com included “The Intern” in its Dirty Dozen for 2007, compiled by well-known adult blogger and XBIZ contributor Gram Ponante.
“People that watch a lot of gay porn liked this breezy comedy set in a New York gay studio,” Ponante said.
Both “The Intern” and “Michael Lucas’ Gigolo” were named to gay review site ManNet.com’s 11th annual Top 100 Videos list. Seven other Lucas titles also made the list, "Encounters 4: On the Job" and "Auditions: 15-20."
Gay portal site Rad Video recognized “The Intern” on its Top 10 of 2007, earning the distinction of the only condom-only title, in the field of ten movies.
“Stunning acting performances by Lucas, [Christian] Cruz, Andrews and Joe Shepard,” Rad Video said in its review. “On a par with Hollywood filmmaking, thanks to excellent direction by Tony Dimarco and production by Michael Lucas.”
