"These ladies are new to the business, but that doesn't mean they're inexperienced," said Tina Tyler, director of the "Fresh Out the Box" series. "How comfortable the girl is with her sexuality is an important part of casting Mercenary's movies, particularly in the new girl titles I shoot. A good scene is as good as its performers, and having a girl that's just a pretty face doesn't give our fans the wall-to-wall gonzo experience they expect."
Lexington Steele, owner of Mercenary Pictures, said the company's directors — including Tyler, Marco Banderas, Jimmy Scaffnetti and himself — bring their skills and backgrounds as gonzo directors to each scene they shoot.
"The performers are the most visible part of the scenes, but it takes a director with experience to capture something memorable," Steele said. "Tina's strength is that she's one of the few females in adult who was a performer and who now shoots gonzo. She has the unique ability to put women at ease and she's distinguished herself with her skill behind the camera in the all-sex market."
