Hartley told XBIZ that this anal sex guide differs from her first one, released in 1994, because of its inclusion of anal play for heterosexual men.
"This one skips the anatomy lesson, [and has] a man on the end of anal stimulation and penetration," Hartley said. "Plus, the second scene with Evan [Stone] and Adrianna [Nicole] is all anal, all the time, unlike the first [anal sex guide], which combined vaginal and anal sex."
Hartley said that though the anal sex guide is different from her previous one, it's still filmed in her signature three-scene setup, featuring a discussion between Hartley and her co-star, then an instructional sex scene followed by what she calls a "mini movie."
"The final scene is fun sex by professionals but no talking to the camera," Hartley said. "In one scene, both the man and woman [Hartley and co-star Christian X] are pleasured anally. In the final scene, with Evan Stone and Adrianna Nicole, only she has anal sex."
"Nina Hartley's Guide to Anal Sex for Men & Women" stars Hartley, Christian, Nicole, Stone and Kylie Ireland in a nonsex role. Hartley said she selected this cast because of their talent and love for anal sex.
"I love Christian, as he's big, handsome, with a high sex drive and anally receptive," Hartley said. "This is hard to find in men in the straight side of the business. He really likes it and isn't afraid to let it be seen on camera."
Hartley also said that she chose Stone and Nicole because they're naturally attracted to each other and performed a strong scene for the film.
Hartley said she has two other sex guides planned for 2008 — "Great Sex During Pregnancy" and one other that has yet to be decided.
