CondomDepot.com Announces 2008 Best Condom Winners

TAMPA, Fla. — Online retailer CondomDepot.com has announced the winners of its 7th Annual World’s Best Condom Awards.

“The 2008 World's Best Condom Award Winners have proved to excel in all test criteria and have received a multitude of positive feedback from our customers," CondomDepot.com President Kim Fidi said.

"We believe that conducting these awards is another positive way of educating individuals on condoms and spreading the safe sex message that we firmly stand by," she said.

Official testers, including college students, swingers and 25 couples of various ages, sampled 40 of the site’s best-selling or highest-rated condoms and determined the winners.

Included on this year’s list, the top-rated condom was the Crown Skinless Skin Condom, manufactured by Japan-based company Okamoto and which has won top honors 6 years in a row.

The “thinnest latex condom makes it feel like you are not wearing a condom. They are slightly above average in size for more comfort,” CondomDepot.com said, describing the Crown Skinless Skin.

Next, Durex Extra Sensitive Condoms, which male testers called, “Amazing — we all hate having to use a condom, but these goodies don't take away any of the pleasure. In fact, they change the sensation a bit. They feel just as good, but in a different way."

The Durex also was named “most durable” condom by Consumer Reports.

Included also on the Top 10 list are: the Beyond Seven condom, Trojan Elexa Ultra Sensitive, Durex Love, Trustex Extra Large, Lifestyles Sheer Pleasure, Impulse Bare Pleasure, Durex Her Sensation, and the Trustex Ribbed and Studded condom.

The Vibrating Johnny vibrating condom, with battery-operated bullet attached to a ring at the base of the condom, was named Best Safe Sex Gadget of 2008.
