6969's 'Spunk'd' Nabs 10 Award Noms

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Rookie director Justin Kane and his "Spunk’d the Movie" have earned 10 Adult Video news award nominations.

The movie has drawn rave reviews from fans and critics alike who love the exciting MTV-style humor made famous by the "Punk’d" reality series, a representative said.

"I'm psyched that 'Spunk'd the Movie' got nominated for so many awards," Kane said. "It really makes this long moviemaking process worth it to be recognized in 10 different categories. Of course I'm most happy that many of the actors and actresses in the movie were nominated for their performances, because the acting is really what makes this movie stand out."

The University of Southern California film school graduate still has visions of a resume filled with Hollywood blockbusters but the chance to get his hands dirty and immerse himself in moviemaking came quickly in porn valley, according to a representative.

With an exclusive distribution deal now in place with IVD for his 6969 Entertainment company, Kane is only now beginning to understand the significance of a double-digit nominations haul.

"So many of my friends and family are thrilled about the 'Spunk'd' nominations. The most surprising thing to me is that many of my old classmates and professors from film school are equally as excited," Kane said.

With an all-star cast including Best Actor nominee Nick Manning, Kane has big plans for Las Vegas.

“Were going to have some fun just like we did at our 'Spunk’d' party last week in Hollywood. I’m really looking forward to the awards with this being my first year in the game as a director,” Kane said.
