Hef Invites Viewers to Vote for Playmate of the Year

LOS ANGELES — Playboy junior photo editor and star of E! Network’s “The Girls Next Door” series Holly Madison will host Playboy TV’s “Playmate Review 2007,” showcasing the 12 nominees for 2008 Playmate of the Year.

The show will air Dec. 9 on Playboy TV. "While thousands of girls have dreams of becoming a Playmate, only 12 girls, the Playmates from 2007, can dream of becoming Playboy's Playmate of the Year for 2007,” Playboy director of photography Gary Cole told XBIZ.

“However, it will be the results of Playboy's online voting poll for Playmate of the Year that will determine which Playmate's dream comes true. The winner, announced in the June 2008 issue of the magazine and on Playboy.com, takes home a cool $100,000, a new car and other prizes,” he said.

Voting for Playmate of the Year opens Friday and lasts until Feb. 7. Members can visit Playboy.com to cast their vote.

This year’s nominees come from around the world and include a Canadian reality TV star, a Puerto Rican DJ and a German biology student, as well as Playmates from Louisiana, Georgia and Nebraska.

The 12 centerfold models of 2007 also will be profiled in the January issue of Playboy.

“Playmate Review 2007” can be viewed on Playboy TV or, for more information, visit Playboy.com.
