Shane's World Vice President of Sales Megan Stokes told XBIZ that the creators of Porn Week contacted the company to distribute the hardcore version of the show, and after she watched some online footage, Stokes knew the two were a perfect match.
"I was so impressed with their technical values, with everything," Stokes said. "It's such a compliment for what we do. We do [true reality] with the younger generation and they do the same thing, but their age bracket is slightly higher. We both have the same principles."
Stokes said that porn fans interested in becoming part of the adult business can pay for a Porn Week vacation — which often take place in tropical areas — where they learn the ropes of producing, directing, performing or choreographing porn scenes.
"They go into a porn training school academy type of thing," Stokes said. "And every night they have parties with the cast."
Their amateur adult film is completed at the end of the five-day "vacation."
Stokes said that beginning either at the end of January or beginning of February, Shane's World will release the hardcore versions of Porn Week one episode per month on a DVD featuring a slew of bonus footage.
"This is the X-rated version of what they can't show on TV," Stokes said. "We're good about making sure that when someone purchases a DVD there's a lot of bonus stuff so you feel like you get a lot of bang for your buck."
Stokes said that the Porn Week TV show is aired on Bravo in the U.K. and is available via iNDEMAND pay-per-view in the U.S.
Porn Week instructors include adult director Dave West and Harmony Film's Gazzman.
