“A Gay in a Manger” is an East Coast drag show that features the best Eastern U.S. drag queens. It has been touted as “The biggest gayest holiday event EVER!” on the club’s website.
Scheduled to appear at the event are drag icons Mimi Imfurst, Hoe Monique, Jacinda and Epiphany.
“I’m sponsoring this event because my post-production manager Jayson is one of the stars in it,” All Boys President Rob Ragan said. “I think it’s sad that these shows don’t get more exposure. These shows are very professional and have a lot of effort put into them. I think that the community should be aware that they exist in places you wouldn’t normally think they would.”
“It’s an honor to have a company like All Boys sponsor an event here in Portland,” said Neil Styxx, owner of the Styxx Video Club, where the event will be held. “Maybe with this kind of attention the ‘girls’ can get the recognition that they deserve for all of the hard work and commitment they put into these shows.”
