Priceless Films Releases 1st Rotoscope-Animated Title

LOS ANGELES — Adult animation and 3-D modeling studio Priceless Films has released the adult entertainment industry’s first animated title to feature rotoscoping, company co-founder Tahl Price told XBIZ.

“Bikini Teens From Outer Space” is an animated 90-minute adult movie that features rotoscoping, an animation technique in which digital artists trace over live-action film movement frame-by-frame. The technique has been employed in the mainstream Hollywood releases “A Scanner Darkly” and “Sin City.”

Price said that the movie took three months to create and he described its premise as mimicking a cheesy 1950s sci-fi movie.

“‘Bikini Teens From Outer Space’ is the first adult title of its kind,” Price said. “It has a comic book feel to it — like a graphic novel come to life. It contains six scenes with hardcore sex and the entire movie was created in-house.”

Darron and Tahl Price founded Priceless Films six months ago. The studio specializes in animation and mobile content. “Bikini Teens From Outer Space” is the company’s first adult feature.

“We think that the adult market is saturated with the same old stuff,” Tahl Price said. “We want to create a new genre. I’m expecting that people who like the hentai and anime movies will enjoy watching this. The new generation of porn consumers will respond to it.”
